Amnesia: The Civilizational Architecture of Forgetting

Something has changed.Information is everywhere - yet understanding feels thinner.History is recorded - and still its lessons don't hold.We move faster but remember less.Amnesia explores why. This is presented as a breakdown in continuity across generations, not as a failure of knowledge. We assume that because something has been written, stored, or archived, it has been preserved. But preservation is not the same as transmission.Knowledge fragments. Context fades. Meaning shifts. What was once understood becomes inherited without explanation - repeated, but no longer recognised.Over time, this produces a subtle but powerful condition:A civilization that remembers everything...except how to carry it forward.Amnesia maps this process.Across systems, institutions, and generations, it traces how continuity erodes through accumulation:information overload without integrationinstitutional drift without correctiongenerational replacement without transfernarratives that simplify, substitute, or distortThe result is not ignorance. It is something more difficult to detect:A structured loss of meaning within an environment saturated with information. This is not a historical account. It is an analytical framework. .A way of understanding why patterns repeat, why lessons fail to hold, and why societies - despite access to unprecedented knowledge - continue to recreate the same outcomes across timeAmnesia is written for readers who already sense this pattern. Those who recognise that something is being lost.....in structure ....not in fragments. Those who understand that the question is no longer what we know...but what we are still able to retain.Because civilizations don't collapse suddenly. They lose continuity gradually. And when that process is complete, what remains does not feel like loss.It feels normal. This book does not introduce a new idea.It gives structure to something already forming beneath the surface.
