Bol Leading up to World War II, Jack Cushing joins the U.S. Army Corps. After realizing that he needs more control than he would have as a gunner, he trains to become a pilot. During pilot training in South Texas, he becomes enamored with a young Spanish-American woman and finally finds what he has been missing- a family who loves him as he is. Follow Jack and Nita as they endure love, loss and separation through three wars. Weaving together wartime theatrics and heroics as well as family trials and triumphs, they build their own core family and put a premium on work ethic, support and unconditional love.
