Bol These are the true stories of Bernard "Red" Rice as he moved from Indiana to Los Angeles with the dream of being an arial navigator only to be drafted into the Army. This eye witness account was written as a way for the author to deal with his PTSD. Follow him through basic training, the Army ASTP program, and then to the WW2 European front where "Red", as a former pilot, treats the wounded. The journey takes you from the Maginot Line, across the Rhine River, and into a German death camp. The story culminates with "Red's" unlikely reconnection, after more than 60 years, with a young boy he treated for a gunshot wound near the end of the war.
