Bol Donna Woodman is a kind woman who expects little in return for her efforts to help others. While facing a serious illness, her church surprises her by completing her biggest project: an embroidered quilt. At home, surrounded by boxes, Donna inspects the memories embroidered with mere thread onto the quilt squares and relives her small acts of kindness that made more difference than she thought. Even as she faces isolation and sickness, and though many of her acts were unrecognized by her friends and family, Donna's kindness is not ignored. In her small, humble ways, Donna showed the community the God who now works through her church to give her peace as she begins this new and final chapter of her life.
