Antonia Vincitorio - Antonetta Vincitorio Lombardi was born in 1901 and died 1982. Who was this extraordinary woman raised without parents in Puglia, a southern region, with little but sunshine and fertile land? For the poor, the Italy of the early 1900s was very different from the Italy later visited by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She began her life with no family and ended it with the enduring devotion of her six surviving children, their spouses, many grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Her story is our history.
