Architecture in Transit

Alonso, Balaguer & Associated Architects, one of the most prolific offices in architecture today, presents in this publication their project philosophy through their most recent works, more than fifty projects and works in several cities and countries. The internationalization of their architectural and business concepts, exporting on a high level Spanish architecture in general, and demonstrating how, Catalonian architecture in particular, is opening a bright path ahead for projects of great repercussion and social significance. Presenting concepts such as the future of the compact city, the fifth skin of facade or the mixture of uses architecturally as a guarantee for a rich urban life are handled here as examples and references from their office.
