This book addresses the concept of parasitism, initially reserved for the business world, considering it as a solution to various issues in the artistic field. Intellectual property law has certain limitations relating both to its scope of protection, which only covers intellectual works, and to its sanctions. As infringement proceedings cannot punish a mere "impression of proximity," they leave considerable scope for infringers who come close to the boundaries of infringement without actually crossing them. This study therefore attempts to determine whether competition law, through such proceedings, is capable of satisfying those who have been overlooked by intellectual property law.
