After an artistic education in Paris, including collaborations with Fernand Léger and Le Corbusier, Jorn created a vast oeuvre of paintings, prints, tapestries, ceramics, collages and sculpture, characterized by a continuous effort to radically renew any of the media he was working with. He was also a founding member of various international art movements, such as CoBrA or the Situationist International , theorized about art and assembled an exquisite collection of European avant-garde art. This new book presents a selection of Jorn's key works and also features many original documents, such as interviews, letters and photographs, as well as articles by and about Jorn. Arranged in chapters focusing on crucial moments of his life or works of particular significance for his career, it illustrates the diversity of Jorn's artistic and literary production and reveals his highly ironic and poetic approach to various topics in art, politics and philosophy.
