Assessing Occupational Risks

Power substations present a complex occupational environment characterized by high-voltage equipment, electromagnetic fields, mechanical hazards, and operational pressures that can compromise worker safety. This study assesses the spectrum of occupational risks encountered in power substations, focusing on electrical, ergonomic, chemical, thermal, and psychosocial hazards. Using a combination of field observations, risk assessment matrices, and structured interviews with technical staff, the analysis identifies critical risk factors linked to routine operations, maintenance activities, and emergency procedures.
