Assessment of Learning and the School Context: Process Data Analysis

This publication draws on the author's professional experience to present educational assessment from various perspectives that address a range of needs. It is primarily intended for those responsible for assessment within a school system. This document is also intended for teachers at various grade levels and may be useful to university students pursuing training to fulfill roles related to learning assessment. The chapters in this publication are organized into three categories: 1) the assessment process; 2) the objects of assessment; and 3) consideration of the school context. The topics covered do not focus primarily on presenting statistical formulas used to obtain various statistical indices; rather, priority is given to presenting the recommended approach and interpreting statistical data. Several "inserts" illustrate the topics discussed and the results obtained from the statistical analyses.
