AVIRAAM SHYAM (The story of a forgotten revolutionary)

This play is centered on the great freedom fighter and social worker Shyam Narayan Singh, who set an example of national service and communal harmony. This play is entirely factual and engaging, making it easy to read and perform - especially in schools and colleges, where its staging will further strengthen the spirit of patriotism among students. Some pages of history are written with martyrdom, while others are written with politics. Our history, too, has been written in a similar way. Many of the heroes, freedom fighters, and martyrs who sacrificed everything for the country have not found a place in history; because the pages on which their stories of national service and martyrdom should have been inscribed were instead filled with the tales of cruel rulers and oppressors.Shyam Babu - that is, Shyam Narayan Singh - was one such self-respecting, fearless freedom fighter and social worker whose contributions are largely overlooked by history. But those who write history do not know that the work done by such people, while building their legacy, may not be recorded in history books, but sooner or later, they find their place in the memories and hearts of the people.
