Awliya of The Ummah Story Shaykh Abu Bakr bin Salim

Born in Tarīm in 919 AH, Shaykh Abū Bakr bin Sālim was raised upon the path of his righteous ancestors.From a young age, he devoted himself to the Qurʾān and the sacred sciences, becoming a distinguished scholar, teacher, and caller to Allāh.He later left his beloved Tarīm and settled in ʿAynāt, a quiet town whose greenery had withered and whose former life had faded.His life was filled with extraordinary generosity and devotion.He welcomed travellers, cared for the weak and poor, gave thousands of loaves of bread in charity, and quietly filled water basins for worshippers, travellers, and even animals.His nights were spent in worship and his days in teaching and serving the creation of Allāh.A man of knowledge, humility, beautiful character, and immense determination, Shaykh Abū Bakr bin Sālim left behind books, teachings, and timeless words of wisdom that continue to illuminate hearts centuries after his passing.He returned to his Lord in 992 AH and was laid to rest in his beloved ʿAynāt.His story is one of knowledge put into action, worship joined with service, and a heart devoted entirely to Allāh.
