The aim of this study is to determine whether specifically adapted, playful and child-friendly balance training can improve posture control. In addition, transfer effects of balance training on jumping power and explosive power are measured. For the first time, changes in stable balance performance in response to disturbances are also measured. In this study, fifteen 6- to 7-year-old first-graders took part in pre- and post-measurements.This study shows for the first time that specifically adapted balance training improves unstable balance performance in 6- to 7-year-old children.
