Be A Plant: Leadership and Healing Lessons Inspired by Our Silent Companions

Plants don't carry stories the way we do. They don't relive old storms or question whether they deserve sunlight. They crack open, root down, and grow.Be A Plant is a book for founders, leaders, and anyone who has ever carried the weight of building something while quietly wondering if they're enough. Through the lens of seeds, roots, storms, and forests, Chuy Cepeda offers a different kind of leadership book - one that doesn't start with strategy, but with soil.Rejection is repotting. Failure is soil. Loss is pruning. Death is compost. Growth is inevitable.Drawing on two decades of entrepreneurship, a PhD in artificial intelligence - focused on how a swarm finds its way by the traces it leaves in the ground - and a pandemic spent learning from his houseplants, Cepeda reveals a truth hidden in plain sight: the best leaders don't command from above - they enrich the ground so deeply that everything around them grows. This is not a manual. It is a mirror. Sit with it the way you would sit in a garden - slowly, quietly - and let it take root."You are not the tree. You are the forest floor. Your legacy is not what you built - it is what grew because you were there."
