Beacon (Deluxe Edition)

Voor het nieuwe album Beacon is Two Door Cinema Club, bestaande uit zanger/gitarist Alex Trimble, bassist Kevin Baird en gitarist Sam Halliday, in april van dit jaar afgereisd naar Los Angeles waar ze het album met producer Jacknife Lee (Bloc Party, U2, REM) in zijn thuisstudio opnamen. Met haar tweede album maakt Two Door Cinema Club een duidelijk muzikaal statement met elf ambitieuze en oprechte nummers die groots en glorieus klinken en tegelijkertijd intiem van karakter zijn.Alex Trimble over Beacon: 'Beacon is a much more intimate record than our first, but at the same time, it's much bigger and more inclusive. This is an exciting time for us and we can't wait to share the songs with everyone.'Het in 2010 verschenen Tourist History haalde de platinastatus in Engeland en thuisland Ierland en ging wereldwijd meer dan 1 miljoen keer over de toonbank. Ook in Nederland werd het album een groot succes en bracht de radiohits I Can Talk, Undercover Martyn, Something Good Can Work en What You Know voort. TDCC deed meerdere uitverkochte clubtournees door Nederland en stond in 2010 op Lowlands en verleden jaar op Pinkpop.
