Beacon: Our Story in Poetry

Nearly a decade ago, Lindsay Gordon met her best friend, Lex, whom she quickly realized was the love of her life. Despite this early confidence, she would still have to wait a while before Lex realized that he loved her, too. After crafting a solid foundation of friendship on which to build their relationship, the pair knew they had found a love to last a lifetime. Their fairy tale, however, would not be quite so storybook from there - two weeks before their wedding, Lex wound up severely injured in a major cycling accident.Beacon is the true story of two best friends who fell in love, who have faced dire challenges and have come out stronger on the other side, and who keep choosing one another each day. Their story is one of friendship and romance, of strength and sacrifice, and of growth amidst the challenges of life. Through each section of Beacon, Gordon invites readers into her most vulnerable moments and confessions as she recounts her favorite love story: her own.
