De verzamelalbum 'RED' van The Beatles is een mijlpaal in de muziekgeschiedenis. Het album introduceerde generaties van fans in de ongelooflijke geschiedenis van de meest legendarische band aller tijden. Ter ere van het 50-jarig jubileum van het album is de verzameling uitgebreid met 12 extra nummers, die chronologisch zijn toegevoegd. Voor het eerst zijn ook enkele van George Harrisons vroegste nummers en enkele klassieke Beatles-versies van R&B- en rock-'n'-roll-hits op het album te vinden die zo'n grote invloed hadden op de band.
