Becoming A Husband

Becoming a Husband isn't about a title or meeting societal expectations. First, it is about the genesis of the marriage; it is about growth; it is about responsibility; it is about choosing to love your spouse with intention, and nothing about perfection. It requires self-discipline, understanding, emotional maturity, spiritual alignment, and most of all, wisdom in how you relate to your partner. There are many rocky sides to marriage, but I have chosen to write on the perkier sides. Maybe someday someone else can write on the challenges that can only be understood by being married to a person. These 18 letters are about love, leadership, and lifelong partnership; they may be sceptical to some and meaningful to others. Each letter breaks down key principles, touching on purpose, personal growth, emotional intelligence, communication, leadership, and legacy, all drawn from Scripture, psychology, lived experiences, and personal reflection, and meant to guide blokes on the journey of husbandhood towards becoming better husbands. It also stands as a reminder for myself. This book was written from a place of inspiration, sincerity and curiosity. I write not as one who is yet perfect, but as one who is inspired, teachable, willing, aware of my own need for help and committed to becoming as well. These letters reflect the truths I continue to grow into and, most importantly, the shared wisdom I believe every man should carry with them on their own journey into Husbandhood.
