Today, South Asia is of significant interest to the Republic of Belarus, as the economies of the countries in this region are developing rapidly, and their markets are highly attractive for Belarusian exports. For this reason, intensifying cooperation with India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka could help open up new economic opportunities for Belarus. Our country is already developing cooperation with certain South Asian partners, in particular through the supply of potash fertilizers, machinery, and agricultural equipment; the establishment of joint assembly plants; the expansion of exchange trading; and cooperation in the fields of pharmaceuticals, energy, education, and tourism. In addition, the Belarusian side is actively attracting investment from South Asian countries to establish various joint production facilities on its territory. And thanks to its advantageous geographical location, Belarus is attractive to countries in this region as a logistics and transportation hub for the distribution of their goods. How is mutually beneficial cooperation with these partners developing? What prospects are already within reach? This is the subject of the proposed study.
