Beneath Us

Beneath Us Tuesday was supposed to be ordinary. At the Carolina Grill, lunch service is just beginning. A local radio host is searching for his next story. A paramedic moves from one emergency to the next. Emily spends another afternoon driving strangers across Charleston. Sarah returns home, hoping one conversation can save her marriage. Out on the harbor, a young couple believes they're finally sailing toward the life they've always wanted. None of them knows their lives are about to intersect. When a series of earthquakes tears through the greater Charleston area, familiar routines disappear, communities are cut off, and every explanation begins to fall apart. As the hours pass, strangers become allies, enemies become something else entirely, and long-buried truths begin to surface. Told through an unforgettable cast of interconnected lives, Beneath Us is a suspenseful horror novel about survival, sacrifice, and what remains when every illusion is stripped away. Because beneath every ordinary life lies a hidden story. And beneath the world we walk across every day... something else.
