The story begins shortly before Christmas when two sisters, Lyla and Lola, take the annual Santa Cruise boat tour with their beloved stuffed animals, Bertie the mouse, and Bandit, the miniature schnauzer. Upon returning home, they realize Bertie and Bandit are no longer with them. Here the Christmas caper begins! Bertie ends up on a farm with horses, chicks, and bunnies, while Bandit has fallen into a holiday shopping bag and is headed to Chicago's posh Drake Hotel. Bertie and Bandit couldn't have found better places to celebrate the season, but they both are missing Lyla and Lola. Will they ever find their way back to them in time for Christmas?
