Between a Croc and Hard Place

Sweeping Australian landscapes, and treacherous natural dangers, are nothing compared to the disaster that is Liam Davies. Working his way around Australia, he takes a job with the Broome City council thinking he has just landed a cushy holiday in paradise. Until the morning that the usual delivery driver doesn't show up for work. When Liam arrives at Merino Downs, three hours drive from Broome, his van gets caught in a flash flood that destroys the rickety bridge between Merino and Broome. Ryan Wilson, the station's owner, is pissed. Not only does he have to repair the damage to his station, he also has to rebuild the bridge, retrieve the council van, and save the injured and distraught Liam from the branches of a gum tree. With Liam installed in a cottage, and Ryan's precocious six-year-old daughter Poppy determined to teach him all about Australia, Ryan is left with everything else. And how does he deal with the freckles on Liam's nose, or the curve of his ass in a pair of borrowed jeans?
