Beyond the Battlefield: Finding God's Healing Through War, Loss, and a Lifetime of Redemption

This memoir has been written from remembrance, supported by letters, photographs, military records, and the faithful encouragement of family and friends. While some conversations have been reconstructed from memory, every effort has been made to present the events truthfully and faithfully. To bear witness to the faithfulness of God through one ordinary life marked by love, war, loss, ministry, healing, and hope. The testimony God has been writing through the opportunities and trials of my life may become part of His answer to someone else's pain. The roller coaster of emotions, memories, and struggles since Viet Nam have shaped a life I can only describe as an era, I did not want to experience but now can truthfully say I am grateful I did not miss. Viet Nam forced me to gain unexpected capabilities and skills I still carry today-skills I would not have developed without that time in my life.
