In a world where walled-off cities, known as districts, seclude supernatural beings, humans determinedly keep themselves apart from the unknown world beyond the walls. As she meets other supernatural friends and allies who help her discover the lighter side of life beyond the walls, they help her uncover the origin of her magic and conceal the truth of her existence from a government seeking to use her for their own gain.
