Beyond the Storm

I don't trust people who smile constantly. It's unnatural. Kai Whitaker is aggressively cheerful. He's the human embodiment of a golden retriever and entirely too wholesome for my liking.I can't help but taunt him every time we run into each other which - spoiler alert - constantly happens since he's my new neighbor. But there's layers to Kai, a side of him that's taking me by surprise and intriguing me enough to offer him a deal.No strings, no feelings, just temporary fun. He's only here for a year before heading back to Australia. A built-in expiration date? Perfect.I'm still picking up the pieces after my life imploded and I can't use any distractions, much less in the form of a man. This is fine.Totally fine. There's no way this will backfire.... Right?Beyond the Storm is a spicy MF college football romance written in dual POV, featuring an actual Big Boy, frenemies-to-lovers, rugby thighs, friends with benefits, a meddling grandmother, and size difference intended for readers 18+. This book is a complete standalone.
