Biblical Youth Ministry Doesn't Exist: And Other Truths to Reclaim The Next Generation

OUR CHURCHES DON'T HAVE A YOUTH GROUP PROBLEM. THEY HAVE A DISCIPLESHIP PROBLEM.We've trained a generation of youth leaders to manage young people's spiritual formation rather than develop it. We've relied on weekly programs to do what only the Holy Spirit-and the home-was meant to accomplish. But there is a better, more biblical way forward. In Biblical Youth Ministry Doesn't Exist, former youth pastor Cam Free delivers a clear, compassionate, and urgent call to reform. Unpacking the shift from consumer-driven programming to authentic spiritual formation, Free challenges leaders and parents to: - Move beyond the numbers and start measuring qualitative, Christlike transformation.- Reclaim family discipleship by empowering parents as the primary disciple-makers.- Balance grace and truth to present a holistic, compelling gospel to the next generation.- Cultivate sustainable ministry built on long-term relationships. Movement creates friction-but if we want to see real transformation in our students, we must be willing to push past the status quo. DISCIPLESHIP IS THE MISSION. YOUTH MINISTRY IS JUST THE MEANS.
