Blood and Velvet: The Bloodbound Houses, Book One — A Dark Vampire Romance Saga

Some bloodlines were burned for a reason. Cordelia "Delia" Ashcroft has spent twenty-eight years being the most careful person in every room. A quiet lab in the French Quarter. The same walk home past the same five lampposts. A life she was too afraid to truly spend. Then a sample under her own microscope shows her something impossible - a fourteenth-century relic whose tissue is a fourteen-out-of-fifteen match to her own blood. She is the last daughter of House Sablewood: a bloodline burned to ash in the winter of 1326 for a single terrifying gift - the power to see a lie the instant it is told. Six ancient Houses went into the snow to end that line forever. They believed they had. They were only slow. Lucien Marchand is two hundred years old, exquisitely controlled, and a blade of the very House that helped destroy hers. He was sent to New Orleans to finish what the Council started. He was not sent to fall in love with her - and he does, completely, in the space of a single hunted week. As a huntress older than empires closes in, and a matriarch in Paris weighs the life of her own son against seven centuries of a lie, Delia learns what her family really died for - and what she is willing to become to keep the one person who never lied to her. Book One of The Bloodbound Houses. An adult gothic vampire romance - explicit content, intended for readers 18+.
