Redbrook; a small town in Maine, and a relatively peaceful and quiet place, yet one night sends the whole town into panicked chaos.Alan Burke, one of the town's longest serving police officers, and his wife, are attacked while returning home from a retirement party, leading to their eldest son, Robbie, a sergeant in the Marine Corps, returning home to care for his younger siblings.A number of grisly occurrences, including brutal attacks on members of the criminal underworld, soon give the impression the attack was carried out by one of the gangs.As time passes and his family is targeted more and more, it soon becomes clear that this isn't just about their parents, but something a lot more sinister, and Robbie soon realises that this is more than it seems.
