The stories in this book reflect author's life journey from living in extreme poverty in India to reaching a level where he would have everything needed to enjoy a comfortable life and acquire all the name and fame that one could only dream of in life in such circumstances. Relying on education as a vehicle to break the vicious cycle he was born into, Dr. Gadh faced many challenges to overcome as he moved to Canada for higher education and then to the United States for employment. Dr. Gadh hopes that the stories described here would potentially inspire someone who might be in the same boat economically as he was in his childhood or, to others, provide an interesting time capsule to compare with what they have in their present-day life.
