This book details activities carried out at the Centre for Advanced Studies in Caxias at the State University of Maranhão (CESC/UEMA), with funding from the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPQ) and the Maranhão Foundation for the Support of Research and Scientific and Technological Development (FAPEMA). This is an innovative approach to teaching and scientific dissemination in the field of science, particularly physics. Artistic activities were incorporated into teaching practice to foster individual and/or collective balance, as well as to promote skills and abilities that facilitated practical interventions and judgements. For the production of the artistic activities, content drawn from the students' lived experiences, the school and their community was utilised, taking into account the need to develop scientific and technological knowledge as a prerequisite for citizenship. To this end, learning should not be centred on the individual interaction of learners with instructional materials, nor should it be limited to the teacher's lecture, but rather it is achieved through the active participation of each individual and the educational community.
