Burly the Squirrel

An Interactive Counting Book That Builds Early Math SkillsOh no! Burly forgot to collect his acorns before winter arrives, and now he needs your help!Children follow Burly along a winding number path to each acorn, counting forward as they go. Once they reach the acorn, they help Burly carry it back to his basket by counting backward. This engaging routine helps children build counting skills, understand number order, and develop an early foundation for math. The colorful number path encourages children to point, count aloud, and actively participate in the story instead of simply listening. Children who are just learning to count can begin by following the left side of the path only. As their skills grow, they can complete the full path, counting up to each acorn and back down again while helping Burly fill his basket.Filled with colorful illustrations, engaging number paths, and interactive play, Burly the Squirrel® - The Counting Game transforms learning into an adventure children will want to enjoy again and again.Perfect for ages 3-7, this first book introduces Burly's counting journey from 1 to 20 while laying the foundation for the exciting adventures still to come.2026 Pacific Book Awards - Best Children's Picture Book (5 and Younger)"When used as an interactive, hands-on routine, children can track the number path with their fingers, count forward and backward, engage with the story, participate orally, and build early math confidence through meaningful, movement-based learning."- Dr. Jacqueline Leahy, Ed.D.Owner, Love, Peace and Literacy
