Busted: A Margaret Scott Mystery

While chasing a headline-making case, Maggie Scott is walking a careful line between helping an old friend and falling into a decades-old conspiracy. She recently became the guardian to three kids who have familial ties to the mob. While Maggie is balancing life as a new parent with her career as a private investigator in Las Vegas, an old friend, Ms. Peaches, asks her for a favor. Ms. Peaches is living her best retired life playing bunco and poker within her retirement community when her boyfriend disappears. Or, what she fears most, did he ghost her? Maggie can't let sweet Ms. Peaches be dumped without the courtesy of a final conversation. She dives right into the search for Ms. Peaches' boyfriend, Mr. Edwards, only to discover his involvement in a scandalous sex party from two decades ago. As she investigates, she becomes a suspect in the death of not one, but two people connected to Mr. Edwards. Maggie tries to distance herself from the suspect pool as she desperately seeks answers to the puzzle Mr. Edwards has created in his attempts to avoid another public scandal. She does her best to help Ms. Peaches find closure while she concocts a plan to reunite the kids she has been caring for with their mother before Maggie is eliminated by a mob enforcer.
