Calvary

SACRIFICE. BETRAYAL. REDEMPTION. Justice was never on the table. In the city of Calvary, power answers to money-and the truth is a threat. Jesus "Jeezy" Carter was just a man trying to change his city. Through his outreach programs and the loyal circle known as "The Disciples," Jeezy rebuilt hope in neighborhoods everyone else abandoned. He mentors the lost, feeds the hungry, and brings unity to a community the system forgot. To many, he's proof that redemption is possible. But power attracts enemies. When rising reporter Kinsey Heard begins covering Jeezy's work, she expects a compelling story about a community leader. What she doesn't expect is how quickly that story will explode. Because overnight, everything changes. The charges appear. The media turns. Friends disappear. >Within days, Calvary's hero is sitting behind bars while the same city he fought and bled for begins celebrating his downfall. But the city forgets one thing... Truth doesn't stay buried. As whispers of what really happened begin to surface, Kinsey risks everything to uncover the conspiracy that destroyed Jeezy's life. With the help of Mama Ruth and the remaining Disciples, she starts pulling at threads powerful people would kill to keep hidden. Meanwhile, the streets of Calvary erupt-some marching for justice, others demanding Jeezy stay locked away. And while the courthouse prepares to judge him, the city must answer one question: Was Jeezy Carter the savior Calvary believed in... or the man they were waiting to crucify? An explosive urban retelling inspired by the Passion story-about faith, loyalty, injustice, and the cost of standing for truth when the whole world turns against you.
