Can Charlie Change the World?

Can one ordinary ten-year-old really change the world? Charlie Southall certainly thinks so. On the morning of his tenth birthday, Charlie has no idea what he wants to be when he grows up. Between escaping his sister, confusing and embarrassing moments at school and the ups and downs of family life, changing the world seems like the last thing on his mind. Then one simple question from his teacher changes everything. Determined to make a difference, Charlie sets himself an extraordinary goal: to change the world for the better. There's just one small problem... he has absolutely no idea how. Armed with little more than optimism, kindness and a wonderfully overactive imagination, Charlie embarks on a journey filled with laugh-out-loud adventures, unforgettable characters and plenty of unexpected mishaps. Along the way he'll discover that changing the world isn't always about grand gestures or becoming famous--it might just begin with changing one life at a time. Perfect for readers aged 8-12 and for anyone who enjoys funny, uplifting adventures with memorable characters, this delightful debut from Tom Rowell reminds us that the biggest changes often start with the smallest acts of kindness.
