The aim was to study morality due to urological cancer in the urology department of CHU Gabriel Touré during the study period.Material and methods: We carried out a retrospective cross-sectional study Descriptive in the urology department of CHU Gabriel Touré during the period January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2024, a 4-year period. During the study period, we collected 37 records of patients who died of urological cancer from 1077 hospitalized patients. This corresponds to an overall mortality rate of 3.4%. Of these 37 deaths, 27 were due to urogenital cancer, representing a cancer mortality rate of 72.9%.Hematuria was the most frequent reason for consultation, at 48.1%. Among patients, 85.1% had anemia, including 18.5% with a hemoglobin level below 6 g/dl, 44.4% with a level between 6 and 7 g/dl, and 22.2% with a level between 8 and 9 g/dl.During our study period, 92.6% of patients who died of urogenital cancer were limited to receiving palliative treatment due to the advanced stage of their cancer.
