Cats Out of the Bag

Jackie and Caleb Heavener have a good life. A successful veterinary clinic, a house they love, two beautiful boys, friends they'd travel to the ends of the earth for, and a marriage that is... technically still functioning.Sure, they don't talk about important things.Sure, they work too much.Sure, they've both been quietly unhappy for a while. But everything is fine. Mostly. Probably. But when Jackie and Caleb's best couple friend call it quits, a new light is shown across their own marriage. As Emily and Freddy Cabbot spiral out through the end of a failed high school sweetheart romance, Jackie and Caleb begin to wonder if perhaps they should quit while they are ahead. Maybe they should quit before they learn to hate each other as viciously as Emily and Freddy. Jackie and Caleb begin their own quiet spiral but Swinton isn't a patient town and one pile of drama is never going to be enough. When a townie is found murdered on his property, The Gaggle must support its own in the wake of the investigation. But before they can help anyone, Jackie and Caleb have to remember how to glue themselves back together. With glitter glue if needs must.In a town where nothing stays secret and nobody lets you fall apart alone, Jackie and Caleb are about to learn that fixing a marriage is a lot harder than fixing a broken vase - and a lot more important.
