It causes intestinal inflammation that results in atrophy of the intestinal villi, impairing the absorption of macro and micronutrients, and manifesting as nutritional deficiencies and digestive disorders. A gluten-free diet is the only treatment for this disease. This condition represents a major challenge for athletes, who must adapt their diet.Through a literature review and a field survey, this book explores the concrete difficulties encountered by celiac athletes. The survey mobilized nearly 200 participants, from amateurs to high-level athletes. This rich study sample is ideal for analyzing field issues.This book aims to develop a comprehensive and practical approach to enable people with celiac disease to reconcile dietary requirements and athletic performance. Based on their experience, the community pharmacist plays a major role in supporting these patients through personalized nutritional monitoring, prevention of deficiencies, and therapeutic education.
