One in nine women in the United Kingdom will be affected by breast cancer. Currently they are offered a one-size-fits-all treatment approach that all too often falls fatally short. This book is a story of survival and an argument for change to both to the politics of healthcare and the way women everywhere live their lives. Janet Edwards has always been an advocate for a holistic lifestyle, but, in August 2001, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and a few short weeks later she was in hospital undergoing a mastectomy. Rushed into post-operative treatments, it was during her first round of chemotherapy that she began to realise that something wasn't right deep inside her body and started to question the treatment she was being offered.
