Bol The research project "Cinema and Education: narratives of teaching experiences in Application Schools" aimed to investigate possibilities for combining cinema and education, based on narratives from teachers working in three Application Schools at Brazilian federal universities who include the seventh art in their teaching practice. The focus of this work was to identify how the teacher's cinema experience contributes to generating introductory experiences in cinema in the school environment, without the teacher having specific training in this area. The result obtained in this study was that teachers or professionals who wish to work with cinema in schools do not necessarily need to have specific training in cinema. However, it is essential that they have a keen interest in the seventh art, develop self-training through studies and research in the area, be a viewer of good films, participate in events that discuss issues related to cinema and its interface with education, cooperate with the debate on the inclusion of cinema in the school curriculum, believe in the freedom of experience, and dare to create with the arts of cinema and education.
