Close Enough for Government Work: 21st Anniversary Edition

Dave Barry meets Slow Horses. In the not too distant past, back when the United States jealously guarded its reputation as a beacon of democracy and fair play, a secret that should have died with J. Edgar Hoover threatened to tarnish that reputation. Two jazz musicians stepped up and saved the day. Not that they really knew what they were doing, but that's how things happen sometimes.. This brand new 21st Anniversary Edition is thoroughly revised and updated, bringing the original, internationally popular Ted and Jerry adventure into the modern world. Originally published as "Close Enough for Government Work" in 2005, then slightly revised and reissued as "Boomerang" in 2009, this Anniversary Edition brings back the original title and, of course, retains all of the distinctive characters and memorable scenes. So join Ted and Jerry, the two down on their luck jazz musicians; Leslie the assassin who can't catch a break; Doreen and Amelia, Australian women of a certain age who are on a mission; Bethie, the ex-Onion Festival Queen and clothing optional loose cannon; the not quite as mysterious as he would like "&"; and all of the representatives of the United States Intelligence community, such as it was, and revisit, or enjoy for the first time, the world that is "Close Enough for Government Work."
