Cocooned Care: A SMART Doula's Blueprint for postpartum

Welcome to our first section. I am excited to be putting this book together "finally" for doulas and women who are thinking about becoming a doula. My goal in this section is to consider the last trimester of pregnancy as a jumping stone to postpartum period. Many women are bored and tired of pregnancy by the third trimester. They may feel less energetic but still want to do something to prepare. We will give you tips to help mamas find that "last bit of energy" to give birth to "preparedness" of the new baby coming. We will also cover our five pillars of postpartum and how they can help mothers in the preparation period. We will also finally talk about motherhood as a gateway and rite of passage. Also, every baby is different, so even if you are working with a VBAC or second time mother or third time, etc. then she can benefit from the ideas in our SMART postpartum model! Every baby is a new rite of passage - so to speak! We are helping mamas reclaim their rite of passage into motherhood! We also talk about the 40-day rest period and why it is so important.
