When I was younger, I had the unique opportunity to go out for coffee with My Sensei almost daily. We would do the noon class and then go out to a local coffee shop and sit for a few hours, enjoying a small coffee....black by his choice, not mine...and chat about Karate, health, family, politics, and the world. It was a unique insight into his thinking and helped form the basis of my own thoughts on different subjects. He never preached at me, he merely gave me his opinion and then we would chat about different subjects, and he would chime in as he felt his thoughts would help drive the conversation. I can not take you all out to Karate., ..so this is my attempt at making the same message and lessons available to all of you.
