Cognition

. Cognition, Second Edition, presents exciting findings from contemporary cognitive psychology in a way that students can easily grasp. Highlighting everyday-life applications, Cognition invites students to participate in the process of science through activities, videos, and demonstrations. An overarching goal is for students to come away with an appreciation of the scope and nature of cognitive psychology. We cover how cognitive scientists test hypotheses about the workings of the mind, how cognitive psychology applies to everyday life, and how this field connects with other disciplines and areas of psychology. Like many teachers of cognition, we are active researchers who study cognition. We want students to discover a vibrant, dynamic, challenging field of study and to form their own questions. This edition of Cognition offers a robust, hands-on media offering through Oxford Insight, which includes learning objectives, self-assessment, assignable quizzes, and online labs which engage students through activities and demonstrations.
