He was among the first group of distinguished professors appointed by Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (now Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine). Throughout his career, he served as the head of the teaching and research groups for "Golden Chamber" studies, internal medicine, and various medical schools at the university.
