In addition to the three special topics, many interesting presentations were given in topical sessions on Variations in normal colour vision, Acquired colour vision deficiencies and Colour vision tests and testing methods. This volume containing peer-reviewed proceedings provides a unique source of information about the latest developments in all aspects of research in colour vision deficiencies. The chapters cover recent advances in molecular genetics, spatial aspects of colour vision and occupational aspects of colour vision, as well as basic research on colour deficiences, test methods and acquired deficiencies. In addition, the book includes papers from a special joint meeting of the International Research Group on Colour Vision Deficiencies (IRGCVD) and the International Colour Association (AIC) on Mechanisms of Colour Vision.
