For 37 years, Hayden has lived within a family marked by mental illness. His younger brother Quentin battled schizophrenia throughout adulthood. His father - an accomplished barrister, QC and judge - struggled with bipolar disorder and alcoholism. His older brother Craig lives with an intellectual disability, anxiety and depression. And his brother-in-law, Glenn, faced severe clinical depression that tragically ended in suicide.In Compassion, Hayden shares these raw, often heartbreaking stories, while offering a psychologist's lens on the stigma, complexity, and silence that still surround mental health.
