Compelled to Serve: The Story of American Assemblies God Missions in Early 20th Century China

"In the early 1980s, a young couple from Arkansas felt a clear and compelling call to missionary service, sensing a profound witness of the Spirit of God. . . .Forty-one years later, Mike and Jane Ann McAteer have made an eternal impact on the people of China and the diaspora. That influence includes church planting, teaching at Bible school and seminary levels, mentoring young hungry believers in the Christian life, and coaching and guiding new missionaries. . . . Fascinating—that’s how I describe this book. The alignment of these pioneer missionaries with the developing Pentecostal missiology of AGWM demonstrates a strategic and Spirit-led orientation. Mike has done the Christian missions world an important service through his research and excellent descriptive writing. I highly recommend Compelled to Serve: The Story of American Assemblies of God in Early 20th Century China." —From the foreword by Greg Mundis.
