This 4-Port SATA PCIe Adapte uses a combination of Asmedia high performance chips (ASM1061+ASM1093) to extend 4 SATA Ports. Each Serial ATA port supports transmission speeds up to 6Gbps, and has backward compatibility to legacy SATA 1.5Gbps or 3Gbps drives. Also, the card supports Mode switching functionality, and can easily switch between IDE or AHCI systems.
