Confessions of a Social Media Addict: How Data Bundles Buried My Future

Confessions of a Social Media Addict is a quiet, unsettling account of how an ordinary life slowly drifts off course without a single dramatic fall. Danie begins with structure, support, and opportunity, but small habits: unchecked scrolling, divided attention, easy distractions-gradually reshape his choices, his studies, and his future. From a shop funded by his mother to losses in betting and cryptocurrency, from a borderline university result to years of silent rejection in the job market, his story unfolds through moments that once felt harmless. As classmates build stable lives and his parents grow old watching, he comes to a late and difficult understanding: nothing was taken from him suddenly, he gave it away slowly. This is not a story of failure announced loudly, but of loss that accumulates quietly until it becomes a life.
