Conflict Management and Team Coordination: What About Reciprocity?

Managing a team is an essential task for a manager throughout a project's lifecycle. It is a rewarding experience, as projects are successfully completed in part thanks to the resources allocated to them. Nevertheless, managing a team remains a complex task, particularly when team members come from different cultural backgrounds or have differing ambitions. Such a situation can indeed lead to significant conflicts within the group. These conflicts then pose a daunting challenge for managers, as they can have major consequences, such as demotivation, a loss of energy at work, and a decline in team performance. This paper aims to understand the factors and consequences of conflict within a team and offers suggestions for effective work coordination, based on the premise that a team's success depends, among other things, on effective conflict management within the team.
